Welcome to the Trauma Anesthesiology Society. It is an honor to serve as your president. I step into this role grateful to those who built this Society and to the members who carry its mission into operating rooms, resuscitation bays, and intensive care units every day. Trauma anesthesiology is practiced where the stakes are highest and the time is shortest. Our patients arrive without warning, often without a history, and sometimes without a stable airway or blood pressure. Our work happens in the first minutes and hours, when clinical judgment, teamwork, and preparation decide outcomes. Few fields ask so much of the people in them, and few offer so much meaning in return. This Society belongs to its members and its direction will be set by your ideas, experience, and energy. I invite you to join a committee, contribute to our programs, share your work, and tell me where we can do better. Whether you are a longtime member or visiting this site for the first time, you are welcome here. Thank you for the trust you have placed in me and for the care you give patients. I look forward to working with you.
